  • CSIR Research Fellow from 1988 to 1992 in the filed of material science at National physical Laboratory, New Delhi.

  • TCTP Fellow (ODA) for Training on Wood Technology under Overseas Development Association (ODA) fellowship at Department of Wood Science, School of Agricultural and Forest Sciences (SAFS), University of Wales, Bangor (UK) from March –Sept. 1995.

  • Awarded Post Doctoral Fellowship as visiting researcher at Department of Forestry, Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing, USA from July 2006 to October 2009 in the field of layered wood composites for structural applications, wood quality assessment, nano-metal based wood preservatives and thermal modification of wood for various end uses.

  • Research experience of 23 years (Since 1992) in wood science and technology at Institute of Wood Science & Technology, Bangalore (India).

  • Research experience of 4 years (from 1988 to 1992) at National Physical Laboratory, Delhi in the field of material science.

Extension Activities:

  • Coordinating short-term training programme on timber identification being conducted by the institute.

  • Participating in various extension programmes such as technology meets/market meets/workshops/demonstrations etc. being conducted by the Institute to popularize the recent wood technologies as applied to plantation grown timber species.

  • Delivering lectures-cum-presentations to the in-service officials and visiting delegates of various organizations.

  • Referee/Reviewer for various national and international journals for reviewing the research articles.
